Bangladeshi FIDE Master Fahad Rahman beat Ter-Saakin Grigorii of Russia in the 2nd round match – Open Under-10 group – of the World Youth Chess Championship at Al-Ain of UAE on Thursday.
Fahad secured 2 points after the 2nd round match and shares the lead with 38 players.
In the 3rd round match on Friday, Fahad was due to play against Aronyak Ghosh of India.
A total of 207 players including 10 FIDE Masters from 74 countries are taking part in the Open Under-10 age group.
