FM Fahad Rahman drew his ninth-round game against India’s Khushagra Mohan at the World Youth Chess Championship in Al-Ain, UAE on Thursday.
With the draw he has 6.5 points and stands in 17th position among more than 200 participants in the Open Under-10 classic category. Fahad was due to take on Dobrikov Marco of Germany in his tenth round game on Friday.
Fahad is accompanied by his father Md Nazrul Islam and is being sponsored by Computer Source, according to a Bangladesh Chess Federation press release. International arbiter Haroon-Or-Rashid is also at the event as an arbiter.
