The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry on Monday requested the visiting delegation of Belarus for giving on-arrival visas to Bangladeshi businesses in their country. At the second Bangladesh-Belarus Business Council Meeting, the FBCCI said that on-arrival visa facility would help expand bilateral trade and investment.On the other hand, Belarus delegation emphasised on increasing of business to business contact and exhibition of potential products for expanding bilateral trade.
The FBCCI, the apex trade body, organised the meeting at its conference room in Dhaka.
FBCCI president Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed also requested the delegation to open a trade office in the country and solve problems related to banking facilities.
The council was established in 2013 during the visit of prime minister Sheikh Hasina to Minsk to improve business environment and enhance business to business communication between the two countries.
At the meeting, Aliaksandr Fedarchuk, director general of Minsk Department of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sergei Trotsuk, first secretary of the embassy of Belarus in India, and representatives of BelCCI attended the meeting.
FBCCI first vice-president Monowara Hakim Ali and vice-president Helal Uddin were also present, among others, in the meeting.
