The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry on Thursday urged the retailers to sell bottled soya bean oil as per the maximum retail price that has been set recently. The FBCCI said that recently the refiners have reduced the price of bottled soya bean oil under a joint move of the commerce ministry and the trade body as the price of the item decreased on the international market.According to an FBCCI press release, the refiners set the maximum
retail price of bottled soya bean oil of 1 litre at Tk 102 from Tk 113 and for five litres bottle at Tk 505 from Tk 560.
‘The FBCCI team has found that the soya bean oil is being retailed at the reduced price in several markets in the capital,’ the release said.
The trade body also urged the refiners to sell the soya bean oil, which was supplied earlier in the market, at the newly set price.
