A fire broke out in the Detective Branch office in the capital city’s Minto Road on Tuesday.
The fire originated from a short circuit and spread to at a room of the DB bomb disposal unit at about 2:30pm, said fire service station manager Shafat Hasan.
On information, three fire fighters’ units doused the flame at 2:50pm, Shafat added.
The fire damaged explosive materials worth
Tk 2.5 lakh while the fire unites managed to recover remaining equipment worth Tk 50 lakh from the room.
