Ganajagaran Mancha erupted into joy and chanted slogans soon after the announcement of the execution of Jamaat leader Abdul Quader Mollah for committing crimes against humanity during the country’s war of liberation. The activists of the Mancha chanted slogans like ‘Ei Matro Khobor Elo, Quader Mollah’r Fasi Holo (Here comes the news, Quader Mollah walks the gallows), ‘Amar Sonar Banglai Razakarder Thai nai (There is no room for war criminals in Sonar Bangla), ’Joy Bangla…Joy Bangla…’
However, in his immediate reaction, the Ganajgaran Mancha, spokesperson Imran H Sarker, said, “We are very much happy with the execution of Mollah. The execution of the verdicts of the rest of the war criminals will have to be carried out.”
“The execution of the verdict is very much important so that the anti-liberation forces could not raise their voices in the land of Bangladesh. We don’t want to see the war criminals carrying our National flags,” he said.
“This is our primary victory. We will continue our movement until our six point demands, including a ban on Jamaat-Shibir politics are met,” Imran said adding that those who joined the Ganajagaran Mancha are ready to sacrifice their lives to protect the spirit of the Liberation War.
The Mancha leaders also brought out victory procession soon after the announcement of the execution of the Jamaat leader.
