Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu today said the present government is pledged-bound to hold a peaceful election with the participation of all political parties. “Whatever the leader of the opposition says, the government is committed to hold a free, fair and peaceful election in the country,” he said. The minister was talking to journalists prior to taking part in a discussion organized by Islamic Foundation at Kushtia Town Hall marking the 38th martyrdom of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Castigating the opposition BNP for patronizing anti- liberation elements, he said all progressive forces are with the Awami League led grand alliance government
while war criminals and Hizbut-Tahrir are with the opposition BNP.
In this context Inu, also the President of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD), alleged that the opposition BNP has been spreading falsehood against the government centering the upcoming general elections to gain paltry political interest. He urged the people not to be misguided by BNP’s propaganda.
