The government is going to develop 2,000 entrepreneurs in IT sector under ‘Freelancers to Entrepreneurs Development Programme’. The programme will be launched today in 64 districts simultaneously aimed at developing entrepreneurship on outsourcing. In Dhaka, posts, telecom and communication technology minister Abdul Latif Siddique is expected to inaugurate the programme at 11:00am at the Information and Communication Technology Division, official sources said.
As part of the launching programme, deputy commissioners will open the logo and make presentation at their respective office in presence of journalists, mentors and persons related to IT development.
According to officials, Freelancers to Entrepreneurs Development Programme is one of the four-stage action plans to flourish the country’s IT sector and increase its growth.
The government had taken a four-stage action plan a few years back for boosting growth of IT sector and meeting the growing international demand for BPO professionals, ICT secretary Md Nazrul Islam Khan told the news agency.
