The Grameenphone Limited, a listed company, has decided to sell 51 per cent stake of its subsidiary Grameenphone IT Limited to Accenture Public Limited Company.
Accenture Plc is an Ireland-based multinational management consulting,
technology services and outsourcing company.Accenture Holdings BV and an Accenture group nominee of Accenture Holdings BV are buying the shares of GPIT.
The decision of the telecom company was disclosed in a news post on the Dhaka Stock Exchange website on Thursday.
The Extraordinary General Meeting of Grameenphone will be will be held on August 1 for the shareholders’ approval.
