Dashing Bangladesh opening batsman Tamim Iqbal will cut short his honeymoon and might join the Tigers’ training camp in a day or two, informed coach Shane Jurgensen on Monday.
Tamim, who got married to Ayesha Siddiqa on June 22 at his hometown Chittagong, will join the camp on Wednesday if he is unable to unite with his teammates today at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
Jurgensen notified that in the event of Tamim reporting for practice today, the 24-year old will undergo batting practice in the nets.
The Bangladesh national team are scheduled to face New Zealand at their own den in October for a two-Test series which will be followed by three one-day internationals and a solitary Twenty20 international.
