Higher Secondary Certificate examinees on Tuesday urged all the political parties to refrain from any violent political programmes that disrupt the examination schedule.
A good number of HSC candidates carrying banners, festoons and placards made the call from a human chain in front of Chittagong Press Club in the afternoon.
They said English 2nd paper examination was scheduled for April 9 but it was deferred because of hartal and rescheduled for April 13.
The examinees said April 11 was scheduled for physics 1st, economics 1st and business policy and implementation 1st part examinations.
They also expressed their fear that these examinations too would be deferred because of hartal.
Repeated change in the examination schedule was hampering their preparation for the examinations, they said, adding that they were passing days in anxiety.
The examinees requested all the political parties to refrain from violent political programmes to help them take the examinations without hazards.
The human chain was addressed by Joy Sen of Haji Muhammad Mohsin College, Raktim Barua of Chittagong College, Hasan Murad of Chittagong Commerce College, Badhon Chowdhury of Omer Goni MES College and Bhashkar of Chittagong Collegiate School and College, among others.
