Bidya Sinha Mim on her career plan
Over the last few years, Bidya Sinha Mim has been a popular face on both small and silver screen. The Lux-Channel i title winner Mim started her career with acting for television and gained massive popularity within a very short span of time. Eventually Mim came to earn a place in the country’s filmdom too. She has proved her prowess on silver screen with films like Jonakil Alo, Tarkata, Amar Achhe Jol and Amar Pran-er Priya.In fact, she is a much sought after female actor on silver screen nowadays. In a recent interview with New Age, the actress revealed that she intends to concentrate entirely on silver screen as the medium is more challenging and rewarding.
‘I have decided to act in selected teleplays from now. I believe, acting in several not only lower the quality of acting but also bring down one’s popularity’, shared Mim.
Mim is currently busy with shooting for two films- Tania Ahmed’s Good Morning London and Tonmoy Tansen’s Padma Patar Jol.
However, Mim has not given up small screen totally yet. She will be seen in three teleplays during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.
The teleplays are Uddeshho, Ami Chitrangada and Old is Gold, which will be aired on different channels during Eid holidays.
Imraul Rafat’s Old is Gold be aired on Eid day at 9:20pm on RTV. ‘It is a comic play revolving around a young chap, played by Tahsan, who suddenly realises that his former girlfriend is his true love,’ revealed Mim.
‘I may eventually give up appearing on small screen. I am still undecided. But it is sure that I will be less seen on small screen from now on’, the actress added.
