Eastern Bank managing director and chief executive officer Ali Reza Iftekhar has recently been elected chairman of Association of Bankers, Bangladesh for a two-year term — 2014-15.
Iftekhar, with 26 years of experience in banking, has served both foreign and local private banks and has been the managing director of EBL since 2007, said a news release.
He is one of the members of Core Risk Management Group of Bangladesh Bank.
