India got the better of Bangladesh by a score of 103-59 in the qualifiers of the third edition of the FIBA Under-16 Asian (South Asian zone) Championship at the
Dhanmondi Basketball Gymnasium on Friday.
India led by 58-13 points after the first half.Mehedi was the highest scorer for Bangladesh with 16 points, while Jamil chipped in with 12 points. Singh netted 22 points for India, while Maan scored 14.
Earlier, Nepal defeated Maldives by a score of 47-34. Nepal was leading by 21-13 points in the first half.
Only the group champion among the four teams will go through to the final round of the FIBA U-16 Asian Championship, which will be held in Iran from September 25 – October 4.
