Bangladesh suffered an injury scare ahead of their West Indies series when opener Tamim Iqbal complained of a stiff-neck after the practice of the national team at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Saturday.
Tamim also said that he has aggravated his previous groin injury that he carried on the Zimbabwe tour.
Due to the groin injury that he picked up when playing for county side
Nottinghamshire in the Friends Life Twenty20 Tamim had to stay away for most part of the preparation camp.
‘I have got a stiff neck and it is really hurting,’ Tamim told New Age on Saturday.
‘The groin injury that I had sustained before the Zimbabwe tour also swelled a bit though I cannot say if it serious or not,’ he said
‘If the injury remains in the same way then I am doubtful about Sunday’s [today] BCB Cup match against GP-BCB Academy,’ he added.
