A four-day inter-university debate competition begins on the Jahangirnagar University campus today. The Jahangirnagar University Debating Society is organising the competition with the financial assistance from Polar, Bangladesh. ‘The programme is being arranged marking the 42nd Victory Day of Bangladesh,’ said the JUDS general secretary, Aninda Saimum Emon, at a press conference on Monday.
A total of 32 public and private universities are expected to participate in the competition which will end on December 27 through a prize giving ceremony amongst the winners, Aninda says.
The National Parliament member, Assaduzzaman Nur, also a remarkable cultural activist, is expected to attend the prize giving programme as the chief guest, the GS says.
