The International Anti-Corruption Day will be observed in the country on Monday as elsewhere in the world, aiming to raise awareness against corruption. The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) and the Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) have chalked out separate programmes marking the day. The ACC will bring out a procession from its head office in the capital and will form a human chain in front of the Commission in the morning. It will arrange a discussion programme at Shilpakala Academy auditorium at 11 am. ACC chairman M Badiuzzamn will speak at the discussion as the chief guest. The TIB has taken various programmes marking the day with a slogan in context of the Anti Corruption Commission (Amended) Act 2013 – ‘Want free, impartial and effective commission’.
It will hold a cartoon exhibition and human chain on the Dhaka University campus at 3:30 pm. DU VC Prof Dr Arefin Siddique will inaugurate the cartoon exhibition at the Fine Arts Faculty of the university at 4 pm.
