Intern doctors at Dhaka National Medical College Hospital under Sutrapur finally called off their strike and joined work yesterday after 27 hours of work abstention.
Following demands of interns and other employees the hospital has introduced the system of passes for attendants in order to control the number of attendants per patient, said director of the hospital MR Azad.
The interns have also demanded installation of a permanent police camp within the hospital premises to ensure their security which is why we have deployed police in the compound, he added.
