Iranian coach Ali Akbar will take over the charge of the Bangladesh League champions Abahani Ltd on Friday while their arch-rivals Dhaka Mohammedan have included two Rwandan midfielders in their fold on Tuesday.
Abahani’s manager Satyajit Das Rupu said, ‘We are eagerly waiting for Ali Akbar and he will take charge on Friday on his arrival in the morning. We will, meanwhile, be starting the camp today without our national team players.’
Dhaka Mohammedan’s coach Shafikul Islam Manik confirmed the selection of Rwnadan midfielders Amani and Ismail for the forthcoming challenges. ‘We are satisfied with the performances of the Rwandans and have decided to include them. Nigerian forward Michael and Ghanaian defender Edward are also going through the trials. We will take more time to decide their inclusion,’ said Manik.
