Kareena Kapoor has admitted that it is a “taboo” in Bollywood to carry on acting in ‘young’ roles after getting married.
The Kurbaan actress has been dating actor boyfriend Saif Ali Khan since 2007.
In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, she said: “Saif is extremely supporting and he jokes that marriage is a taboo in our film industry.
“Surely, there are norms that we can break but the fact is that the film fraternity considers a married actress a taboo.”
Kapoor disclosed that a wedding could happen in a year’s time, though she joked that it is most likely to take place “the year when the world is supposed to end”.
