Mir Sabbir tells New Age
Popular actor Mir Sabbir will be seen in two Eid special drama serials to be aired today on two channels. The fourth episode of the comedy series Jamai Ador will be aired on Banglavision at 11:10pm while the
fourth episode of another comedy series directed by him titled day Barishaila Pola Koti Taka Tola will be aired at 10:30pm on Baishakhi TV.
Besides these two comedy series, in this Eid Mir Sabbir, who has earned popularity through acting in diverse characters in his long career of 15 years, has performed in many comedies.
‘Viewers expect pure entertainment during the Eid festival. So, I’ve acted in several comedies and also I have directed a few comical plays to share the Eid
festivity with my fans. I think it is a challenge to make people laugh but that’s also a great thing, ’ said Mir Sabbir, explaining why he likes working in comedies.
‘Among my works for Eid, I am particularly excited about a six episode series Jamai Ador, directed by Salauddin Lavlu, which will be aired on Banglavision,’ said Sabbir adding that he had worked in other entertaining plays by Lavlu like Chheleti Nirob-e Chole Gelo and Shokh, both scheduled to be aired on GTV.
The actor who has bagged a number of projects for Eid further informed New Age that he has acted in other Eid teleplays by other directors like Sajjad Sumon, Saidul Anam Tutul, Naznin Hasan Chumki, Zia Raihan, Sumon Anowar, Fazlul Rahman and others.
‘I’ve also acted in diverse characters for Eid teleplays. I enjoy diversity,’ said Sabbir who has accumulated quite an experience through acting in over one thousand teleplays and serials over the past 14 years.
‘I strongly believe that diversity is really important for an actor to demonstrate his skills. Moreover, acting in typical roles would bore the viewers,’ observed Sabbir, who has gained wide acclamation especially for enacting comical roles.
Sbabbir has also directed Eid comedy series including Alal O Dulal, Kuddus er Murgi Prem and Barishaila Pola Koti Taka Tola. ‘My desire to create something unique and wonderful pulled me in direction,’ said Sabbir, who debuted as a director with his 52-episode serial titled Maqbul.
