Robbers looted a jewelry shop in old Dhaka’s Tantibazar on Monday afternoon.
The Kotwali police officer-in-charge, Shah Alam, said the robbers hurled hand bombs in the area to create panic among the people and looted Mandira Jewelers’ at around 2:00pm.
The owner could not estimate the measure of looted gold immediately, the OC said.
No case was filed till the report was filed at 6:00pm.
