Shahriar Nazim Joy will be seen in a drama serial Joiboti Koinna today on RTV. The talented artiste is enacting a mason in the play, which is aired at 9:05pm on every Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
‘In this play, I have played a role of a mason who is a kind hearted man but gets involved in a complicated relationship with a young woman who is tortured by her previous husband. Nowshin, Ahmed Rubel, Hasan Imam and others have also acted in the series’, informed Joy while sharing about his present works.
Joy is nowadays having a packed schedule as he is working in two more drama series which are being telecasted on different channels. The series Nir Khoje Gangchil is being telecast on ATN Bangla and Songi is being aired on Bangladesh Television.
However, it is not the role that Joy gives emphasis on rather he looks for the story and the director whenever he has to select an offer. ‘The director is the most important factor of a production. A good director can even make a quality production out of a poor story,’ further expressed Joy, whose first teleplay was Godhuli Logne.
Joy further informed that he will be seen in 25 teleplays on upcoming Eid-ul-Adha festival after 5 years. ‘Sometimes artistes take break from the work in order to regain strength for even better performance. I too took a five-year break during which I did very few selected works, but now I am back with new energy on this upcoming Eid,’ said the artiste.
‘Besides, I am currently considering the options of many other films. I will definitely work in films but right now I won’t say anything about my next film project. Let me settle down a few things and then I will declare my next film project,’ also informed the artiste, who has already worked in four films – Jiboner golpo, Ei Je Duniya, Gram Gojger Piriti, Pashaner Prem.
