The Bangladesh Under-19 team will leave for India on November 17 to play a tri-nation championship involving the hosts and Afghanistan, said officials on Tuesday.
Bangladesh juniors were expected to play a five-match one-day series against India before it was altered into a tri-nation that will be played from November 20-29 in Kolkata.BCB’s game development manager Nazmul Abedin sees it as a perfect opportunity for them to prepare for the ICC Under-19 World Cup, scheduled to start on February 7 in Bangladesh.
‘Hopefully it will be a good preparation for us ahead of the Under-19 World Cup,’ Nazmul told New Age on Tuesday.
Before moving to India, Bangladesh juniors will be busy playing a home series against their Zimbabwean counterparts, who are due to arrive on November7.
They will play four one-day matches at the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.
