The Jahangirnagar University Journalists Association observed its 40th founding anniversary and reunion programme on Friday on the campus with much festivity.
Observing the day, a colorful procession was brought out and it paraded the whole campus.
Hundreds of current and former members of JUJA with their near and dear ones participated in the daylong celebrations joined in also by journalists of others campus across the country.
A series of programmes including seminar, game show, view-exchange, cultural event was organised.
A seminar titled ‘Campus journalism: problems and probability’ was held at Zahir Raihan Auditorium of the university while BBC Bangla service chief Masud Hasan Khan, BBC correspondent
Akber Hossain, executive editor of Dainik Samokal Safi Mustafiz, chief
reporter of Dainik Manab Kantha Shohel Ahmed addressed the seminar among others.
Nine renowned personalities were honored on the occasion for their outstanding contribution to different fields.
Disaster management and relief minister Abul Hasan Mahamood Ali addressed the function as the chief guest.
