Bangladesh national kabaddi team will leave Dhaka today to participate in the International Friendship Men’s Kabaddi Tournament in Kathmandu, Nepal, scheduled to start from September 21.
Bangladesh along with India, Sri Lanka and hosts Nepal will participate in the competition.
National kabaddi team skipper Masud Karim was very confident of their success in the tournament as the players took part in a training camp of 40 days before the competition.
‘We have taken a good preparation before going to Nepal. Every player is determined to give their best,’ said Masud during a press conference at the Bangladesh Olympic Association auditorium on Monday.
Coach Abdul Jalil believed that the competition would be difficult but they were aiming to win the four-nation tournament.
‘This tournament will refresh our boys and we have targeted to win the competition although there will be tough competition as well,’ the coach said.
The final of the tournament will be held on September 23.
