Kajol’s fans may have to wait some more to see the super-talented actress back on silver screen as her third attempt to return to arclights has hit a road block, reports India Today. According to reports, after two failed attempts – one, Ram Madhvani’s flick and another, Indian adaptation of the Dutch TV series Penoza, Kajol’s third chance with remake of Malyalam movie How Old Are You, has fallen in trouble. The story goes, hubby Ajay Devgn bought the rights of the 2014 Malayalam hit How Old Are You and wanted Ashwini Dhir to helm the project, but as per the contract between the producer and director of the original film, director Rosshan Andrrews has the ‘first right’ to direct its remakes.
Andrrews even met Ajay and they discussed the issue last week, but for now the project appears to be in a limbo.
How Old Are You revolves around a working woman Nirupama, who gets an opportunity to interact with the President of India. But the chance turns out to be disastrous making her her the target of Facebook trolls. Her husband and daughter leave her and then starts the journey of self-discovery.
The original flim starred Malyalam star Manju Warrier as Nirupama.
