The newly formed Rajshahi University College based troupe named Rajshahi College Natya on Friday premiered its debut production Kalir Baan in presence of a houseful audience at the college auditorium.
The programme began with a discussion session in which vice principal of the college professor Habibur Rahman, associate professor of management department Shah Alom, professor of psychology department Nitai Kumar Saha and dramatist Kamarullah Sarkar Kamal delivered speeches welcoming the newly formed troupe.
The play, written and directed by Kornial Hasda, features the ongoing political turmoil, which is affecting students, peasants and the whole nation as well.
Hasda, who is also the convener of Rajshahi College Nattya, hopes that the troupe will produce quality productions regularly.
