Urges Milk Vita
Milk Vita has urged the opposition alliance to keep milk carrying vehicles free from general strike and transport blockade programmes. In a news release on Saturday, Milk Vita managing director Mohammad Munir Chowdhury said, ‘Despite the obstacles [caused by the ongoing blockade] initiatives have been taken to continue milk supply considering the interest of the people.’
He also urged the opposition party to keep baby food transport free from strike and transport blockade programmes.
In the release, the company said it had supplied 1.6 lakh litres of pasteurised milk across the country including the capital Dhaka on Saturday under special security.
