Newly-promoted Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity finally registered their opening victory of the Dhaka Premier League against Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club on Tuesday.

recorded a 52-run win over Krira Chakra. Khelaghar SKS v Prime Doleshwar
Away at the Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra, Khelaghar recorded a shocking 47-run victory over Prime Doleshwar which was the newcomers’ first win in seven matches.
Khelaghar won the toss and decided to take first strike, scoring 215-7 in their allotted 50 overs with Ariful Haque hitting 69 off 93 balls. Nizamuddin Ripon supported Ariful well by chipping in with 39.
Prime Doleshwar’s Forhad Reza (3-35) and Taijul Islam (2-27) combined to restrict Khelaghar to a gettable score.
In pursuit of their target, Prime Doleshwar were never in the hunt as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Ripon had a good day as he scalped 5-16 in 8.1 overs to go with the 39 he made earlier in the first innings.
Prime Doleshwar were eventually bundled out for 168 in 46.1 overs. Ripon was adjudged the man of the match.
Kalabagan Cricket Academy v Kalabagan Krira Chakra
An unbeaten 85 from Nuruzzaman lead Kalabagan Cricket Academy to a 52-run win over Kalabagan Krira Chakra at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan at Savar.
Asked to bat first after losing the toss, Kalabagan CA scored 189-9 in their stipulated 50 overs, largely due to Nuruzzaman, who was unbeaten at the end on 85 from 112 balls. Nuruzzaman’s innings featured eight hits to the boundary fence and a solitary six.
Kalabagan KC’s Syed Rasel (2-45), Saju Datta (2-35), Rakibul Hasan (2-25) and Tasamul Haque (2-23) shared eight wickets between them.
In reply, Kalabagan KC were dismissed for 137 in 39.2 overs with Asif Ahmed scalping 3-37 and Nazmul Apu taking 2-19 for Kalabagan CA.
Nuruzzaman was adjudged the man of the match.
