Khudey Gaan Raaj ‘08 at finishing line

The grand finale of “Meridian Channel i Khudey Gaan Raaj’08”, will be held tonight at National Women’s Sports Complex, Dhanmondi. Channel i will air the programme live from 7:50 pm.
The announcement was made at a press conference held at Dhaka Sheraton Hotel yesterday.
The finalists are Jewel, Saddo, Parshi, Jhuma and Saran. They will perform for the last time tonight for the crown of “Khudey Gaan Raaj”.
The winner will receive Taka 5 lakh, the first runner up will receive Taka 3 lakh and the second runner up will receive a cash prize of Taka 3 lakh from Otobi.
Apart from the winners, each of the top 12 contestants will receive a credit card of Taka 20,000 from Premier Bank and a platinum card worth Taka 20,000 from Concord Entertainment Ltd and free educational facilities from Cambrian School and College.
Twelve organisations namely, Prime Bank LTD, Trust Bank Ltd, Advance Development Technologies, United Commercial Bank, Eastern Bank Ltd, Citi Bank Ltd, Premier Bank Ltd, Janata Bank Ltd, Destiny Group, Crown Cement, Maan Bangladesh Ltd and Sheltech Private Ltd will be bearing all educational expenses of the Top 12 for the next 10 years. Each organisation will sponsor one child, selected by lottery.
Faridur Reza Sagar, managing director Channel i and Impress Telefims Ltd, Shykh Seraj, director news Channel i, and SM Kamal Pasha managing director, Meridian Foods Ltd were present at the conference. Among the sponsors Engineer S M Anwar Hossain, chairman, Advanced Development Technologies; Dr. Mohammad Zillur Rahman, deputy managing director, Janata Bank; Dr. HBM Iqbal, Chairman, Premier Bank; Habibur Rahman, Chairman & CEO, Maan Bangladesh Ltd; M. Reazul Karim, deputy managing director, Prime Bank Limited; Md. Alamgir Kabir, director, Crown Cement; Raihan ul Ameen, deputy managing director & chief operations officer, City Bank; Mohammed Sayeed ur Rahman, director, finance, Destiny 2000 Ltd and others were present at conference.
A 20,000 strong audience is expected at tonight’s programme.
