The Khulna district administration on Monday at a meeting chalked out elaborate programme to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest Muslim religious festival likely to be held on August 9.
As a part of the programme, national flag will be hoisted in the morning atop at all government, semi-government, non-government and autonomous establsihments while flags inscribed with Eid-Mubarak will be hoisted at the circuit house and road dividers of the streets in the city.
The meeting was held in the conference room of the deputy commissioner with Khulna deputy commissioner Mesbahuddin in the chair.
Government officials in different departments attended the meeting.
The main Eid congregation will be held at 8:30am in Khulna circuit house ground while the second congregation will be held at the city’s town jam-e-mosque at 9:30am.
The Eid-ul-Fitr congregation will be held at 8:00am, 9:00am and 10:00am respectively at the town jam-e-mosque.
Meanwhile, all the mosques under 31 wards in Khulna City Corporation have arranged Eid congregation at their suitable time.
Khulna Metropolitan Police has taken special security measures to ensure security on the Eid day.
