Khulna Metropolitan Police promised a tight security for Bangladesh and Zimbabwe cricket teams when they play a Test match in the city in November. Local security agencies, which included police, Rapid Action Battalion, , coastguard, fire service, Ansar, held a joint meeting at the KMP headquarters on Tuesday to review the security plan. We are committed to give the visiting team a water-tight security at the venue, hotel and transports,’ said the KMP commissioner.
The posh hotel ‘City Inn’ was selected as the residence of players and officials for both the teams.
The second Test of the Bangladesh-Zimbabwe series will be held at city’s Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium from November 3-7.
