An eight-member team of Korea Overseas Volunteer, dispatched by the Korea International Cooperation Agency, has arrived in Dhaka to share their knowledge and expertise on computer design, Korean language, clinical pathology, architecture
and management with the people of Bangladesh.The resident representative of KOICA Bangladesh office, Kim Bok-Hee, greeted the volunteers on their arrival on Thursday. The team will be staying in Bangladesh for the next two years.
The team will undergo local adaptation training for the first two months, during which they are expected to acquire knowledge about local language, culture and customs, a press release of KOICA said.
Among the eight volunteers, two will be dispatched to Bogra and Khulna Technical Training Center, while others will be dispatched to Savar Bangladesh-Korean Friendship Hospital, Valuka BRDB, Bogra, Sylhet and Chittagong Foreign Language Training Centers.
With the arrival of these eight new volunteers, the total numbers of KOICA’s volunteers in Bangladesh at present is 57 in various fields, including the medical field, architecture, automobile expertise, computer and IT assistance, and social welfare etc.
