The 23rd anniversary of Khulna University will be observed today in a festive manner through arranging different programmes on the campus.
The programmes include daylong blood donation and campaigning, a colourful procession in the morning, special prayer at the university mosque in the afternoon, cultural function, lighting candles on the University Shaheed Minar premises and serving of improved diet in all residential halls.
The academic activities of the university began in 1990 with 80 students under four disciplines.
Now, a total of 7,172 students study here under the supervision of 340 teachers.
