Popular TV actress and once model Lina Ahmed has recently performed in a television commercial of Radhuni spices. After nine years of her last TVC, she performed the commercial, directed by Golam Haidar Kislu. As a TVC model, Lina debuted her career in 1975 by performing in a commercial of Red Cow Butter Oil and she became popular for the jingle titled “Bhabi tomar haat-e ki jadu ache? (Sister-in-law, do you have magic in your hands)?” In 2002, Lina performed in three commercials of Ovaltin, Ispahani Tea and Horlicks, which were directed by Ringo. While sharing her feelings to perform in any TVC Lina said, “The theme of the advertisement seemed very attractive to me. The director also did the work with proper attention. Since, the commercial is being aired on different channels, I am getting huge response.” Primary negotiation is also going on to perform in a TVC of a mobile phone company, she added. Meanwhile, in 1978, Lina Ahmed, performed in her first drama ‘Kokila’. Her first film was Rajlokkhi Srikanto, directed by Bulbul Ahmed, while Devdas directed by Chashi Nazrul Islam was her last movie. She also performed in daily soap Gulshan Avenue, drama serials ‘Nondini’, ‘Ghotok Baki Bhai’ and ‘Joshnai Kalo Shap’ which are being aired on different channels.
