Batsman Liton Kumar Das seems uncertain to take part in the first few rounds of Bangladesh Cricket League due to his knee injury, said Bangladesh Cricket Board official on Monday.
Liton is currently going through a rehabilitation process that begun on July 18 and had been ruled out for the next four to six weeks from taking part in any kind of competitive cricket.
BCL, franchise-based four-day tournament is scheduled to start from August 20.
‘It was an injury that he sustained on his right knee during the last National Cricket League,’ BCB’s national physio Bayezidul Islam told New Age on Saturday.
‘We are observing his improvement but certainly he won’t be available for the next four weeks and if required another two weeks will be needed for gaining fitness,’ he said.
