Maasranga Television clinched the Walton-DRU Cricket title for the 3rd time in a row beating ntv by 10 runs in the final at Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium on Monday.
Favoured by coin, Maasranga TV batted first to score 96 runs for one in six overs with Mahfuz making the team highest 30 runs. Rakib and Jubair added another useful 29 and 23 runs respectively.
In reply, ntv folded their innings at 86 runs for the loss of four wickets in the quota of six overs with Fahad scoring 30 and Rashed 21 runs.
Jubair of Maasranga TV, who earlier scored 23 runs, grabbed two wickets for 28 runs and was adjudged man of the final and the man of the tournament to receive two LED TVs from Walton.
The champions and runners-up teams were awarded with Freezes from Walton in addition to trophies.
Earlier in the semifinals, Maasranga TV (57/1) defeated Independent TV (51/3) by four wickets while ntv (102/2) beat Alokito Bangladesh (53/3) by 50 runs.
