Police arrested a multi-level marketing businessman at Crescent Road in the capital Saturday night on allegation of fraudulence. Abdur Rahman, who claimed himself as managing director of Sun Group, was arrested at around 11:30pm on Saturday and later handed over to Ramna police station, said Md Iqbal, officer-in-charge of Kalabagan police station.Ramna police OC Moshiur Rahman told New Age that there were four fraudulence cases against Rahman who allegedly deceived people and took crores of taka from them.
Charge sheet was filed against him in one case, arrest warrants were issued in two other cases and investigation process is on in the fourth one,’ the OC informed.
Police sent him to metropolitan magistrate’s court seeking 10 days of remand.
