Armed Police Battalion arrested a man along with gold worth around Tk 54 lakh at Hazarat Shahjalal International Airport premises early today.
A team of APBn arrested Billal, 53, from the car park area at the Arrivals Canopy: 2 around 12:30am, said SM Mizanur Rahman, an additional superintendent of Airport APBn.
Billal initially denied having any gold but the officials later searched him and found six gold bars weighing around 700 grams from his trouser pockets, he added.
A case was field against him with Airport Police Station in this regard.
