A cadet of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Maritime University drowned in a
water body on the campus on Saturday in Chittagong.
The student, HM Masud Kaiser Shuvo, 21, a second-year student and son
of Mainul Islam, hailed from Barura of Comilla.The police said the cadet drowned at around 1:45pm. Some students rescued the cadet in a critical condition and took to CMCH where the doctors declared him dead at around 2:30pm.
