The grand finale of the Marks All-rounder 2010 competition was held the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre at Sher-e-Banglanagar in the city on Sunday night. The gala event was broadcasted live on Ntv.
Maliat (Ramisa), Sadia Rahman (Bipa) and Ranjan Bala Pranab won the crowns of primary, secondary and lower secondary section categories. The year-long competition vetted out nine finalists out of 1,20,000 contestants. Out of the final nine, viewers voting and judge’s decisions brought out the top three contestants.
Singer Habib Wahid, actress Aupee Karim and world famous magician Jewel Aich were present as part of the judging panel. NTV and Radio Today were the media partners and SSL Wireless participated as the web partner.
Marks All-rounder provided the top three winners with a Tk 10 lakh scholarship or a car. The runners-up received Tk 1 lakh scholarship.
Group Brand Director Nuashad Chowdhury of Abul Khair Group, organiser of Marks All-rounder Competition, commented that children all come have an inborn talent and all they have tried to do is bring that talent out into the open. Consultant of Abul Khair Group Brand Tasneem A Karim said the Marks Milk Powder brand talks of those children who use their inner strengths and talents to rise above the rest.
The three final round winners are Shorno, Ramisa and Sakib. The primary level contestants were Anupam, Torosa, Pranab, secondary level contestants were Maher, Aindrila and Bipa. These contestants performed dance, recital drama and storytelling to liven up the Marks All-rounder gala program. To add more sparkle to the brilliance, they were joined by noted performers Fahmida Nabi, Bappa Majumder, Chandni, Samina Chowdhury, Sharmin Lucky, Monalisa, Tisha, Ishita, Shajol, Tarin, Hridoy Khan, band groups Feedback and Lalon and Schuman Patowari. None of the nine finalists took the help of any serious schooling or professional institutional aid to enhance their performance. They used their natural inbuilt talents to wow the viewers. This competition event was enthusiastically encouraged by Abul Khair Group. Marks All-rounder 2010 Gala Round ended with the pledge to further promote the multifaceted talents of children in such a manner.
