Bangladesh cricket captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza on Tuesday vowed to win their World Cup opener against Afghanistan. “We will play to win,” said the Tigers skipper at a press conference in Canberra.
Asked about opener Tamim Iqbal, the fast bowler said, “Tamim is doing well. He is confident. We hope he will be able to play his best, In Shaa Allah.”
The veteran believes the blend of youth and experience will be the key in their World Cup campaign.
“The new boys are very confident. I hope they do as good as Mushfiq and others did on their World Cup debuts,” said the speedster. The match starts at 9:30am on Wednesday, as the nation eagerly waits to see the Tigers in action.
