Bangladesh one-day international and Twenty20 captain Mashrafee bin Murtaza, who was admitted to a city hospital with dengue fever last week, was discharged from the hospital on Friday after a week-long treatment. After the release from hospital the Tigers’ captain returned to his Mirpur residence. ‘Mashrafee is now feeling well and the physicians released him to take rest,’ Bangladesh Cricket Board physician Debashish Chowdhury told this to reporters on Friday.
Mashrafee was admitted to Apollo Hospital with dengue fever on October 9.
The ailment delayed the ODI and T20I captain’s plan to return to first-class cricket through the third round of the National Cricket League.
