Mashrafee bin Murtaza started his rehabilitation immediately after returning from Sri Lanka when he bowled with an 18-metre run-up at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Tuesday. He also had several work-outs with the trainer and the physio as well. Earlier, Mashrafee had bowled at the indoors with 16-metre run-up when he left the capital for Sri Lanka to meet David Young. ‘My usual run-up is 21 metres but right now I am bowling from 18 metres out which is not bad,’ Mashrafee told reporters at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium. Meanwhile, Rubel Hossain, who also could not take a break due to his back injury, feels it won’t take long for him to get into full rhythm. ‘I think I will be totally fit within a week,’ said Rubel after completing his training at the SBNS on Tuesday. The 15-member squad of Bangladesh will start their training camp for the upcoming World Cup at the SBNS today after a break of five days, while Mashrafee will continue his rehabilitation. — New Age
