Rajshahi Freedom Fight History Preservation Counsel organised a discussion at the Rajshahi Press Club on Monday evening marking Bablabon Mass Killing Day.
Speakers in the programme demanded speedy trial of the war criminals and implementation of the spirit of 72’s constitution. They also urged people to wake up as the process of war criminal trial had started and the culprits of ’71 may create violence to stop the trial.
The speakers also demanded setting up a monument to express respect to the 17 martyrs of Rajshahi who sacrificed their lives in Bablabon besides the River Padma in Rajshahi 25 November.
Rajshahi Freedom Fight History Preserved Counsel acting president Masudur Rahman Rinku chaired the discussion and writer and educationist Professor Ruhul Amin addressed the programme as chief gust.
The meeting was conducted by journalist Saidur Rahman and was addressed by politician Shafikur Rahman Badshah, Rajshahi University deputy registrar Ahmed Shafiuddin and right activist Waliur Rahman Babu, among others.
