Bangladeshi golfer Siddikur Rahman is in danger of missing the cut at the Omega European Masters in Crans Montana, Switzerland, having ended the first round in 91st place on Thursday.
Siddik carded a one-over-par 71 in his fourth appearance at the 2.2-million-euro competition.
According to the tournament’s rules and regulations, rounds one and two will be held over the first two days, with the top 65 golfers from the participating 156 making the cut for the final two rounds.
Siddik made birdies in the 1st, 7th and 18th holes, but suffered the ignominy of bogeys in the 10th, 11th, 12th and 16th holes.
India’s Anirban Lahiri was leading the tournament after the opening day’s play, striking an eight-under-par 63.
