Metro Rail has achieved a remarkable milestone by carrying over 400,000 passengers in a single day.
The Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), which operates the Metro Rail, announced this achievement on their official Facebook page on Friday night.
For the first time, Metro Rail recorded 403,164 passengers. The Metro Rail team expressed their sincere gratitude to all employees, valued passengers, supporters, and stakeholders for reaching this significant achievement, as stated in the post.
Recently, DMTCL Managing Director Mohammad Abdur Rouf mentioned that their goal is to transport 500,000 passengers each day.
At present, the Metro Rail’s MRT Line-6 is functioning in both directions between Uttara and Motijheel.
