The Dhaka Metropolis Table Tennis League begins at the Wooden Floor Gymnasium today with the First Division.
Some 18 teams, split into two groups, will take part in the first division as the Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation has temporary brought an electricity line from the volleyball stadium to complete the league after the newly-built gymnasium has remained dark for three months following the disconnection of electricity over the unpaid bill.
Some eight clubs including Abahani will take part in the women’s table tennis league that will get underway on October 5 after the 10-team Senior Division kicks off on September 29, said a press release yesterday.
