Micromax Informatics Limited, the 12th largest handset manufacturer in the world, has announced the launch of 10 new products which includes 7 smart feature phones, 2
superfones and one 7” tablet PC in the local market.
All the devices are available in the price range of Tk 1,399 to Tk 14,999.
Since its inception, Micromax has grown not just in terms of market share but also with its product offerings. The brand is already a key player in the feature phone
segment and is now aggressively looking to capture the smartphone market with latest technology which makes each day of consumer easier and more fun.
With the country witnessing adoption of Android, Micromax aims to build a strong portfolio of smartphones for the discerning consumers. The new two Android devices
added to the portfolio are A110 Superfone Canvas 2, a dual SIM Android phone running on 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) equipped with a 5” capacitive multi-touch screen and
powered by a 1 GHz processer for multi tasking.
The second device is A65 Smarty, another dual SIM Android phone equipped with a 4.3” capacitive screen powered by 1 GHz processer running on Android 2.3 (Ginger
Bread).
Both Canvas & Smarty allow users to browse the internet, check mail, blog, share photographs, update their status on social networking sites, play games, and download
more than 2 lakh applications available at Google Play store.
Micromax also launched P275 Funbook Infinity, a 7″ tablet PC. It is a Wi-Fi enabled device which is powered by a 1.2 GHz processer and has a 2.0MP rear camera and a
0.3MP front facing camera to enable video calling plus the tablet has dual speakers.
The seven smart feature phones Micromax released are X101, a full multimedia phone; X103, full multimedia with marathon battery life; X292, a movie phone; X320, X324,
X1i Xtra and X455 Slim Touch phone.
